Under-17 coach expresses optimism for the Flamingoes at the world cup

The Chief Coach of Nigeria’s female under-17 team, Bankole Olowookere has expressed optimism that the Flamingoes will perform outstandingly at the forthcoming world cup scheduled to hold between October 11 and 30 in India.

Olowookere said his optimism is hinged on the fact that the players have trained themselves to the point of strain and pain and are ready to face any team.

While admitting that the team will be contending with difficult sides like Germany, New Zealand, and Chile, the coach said her girls will scale the hurdle of the first round and qualify for the knockout stage and beyond.
