NBA Ikeja Branch Announce Law Week Schedule Set For June 9 To June 16

The Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja Branch, has announced its upcoming annual law week, scheduled to take place from June 9th to June 16th, 2023. The theme of the week is “The Nigerian Lawyer: Earning Wealth and Keeping Fit in the Times.”

The law week will feature various activities, including a program specifically designed for young lawyers where prominent figures such as former NBA President Olumide Akpata and other dignitaries will share their insights. On June 10th, there will be sports and exercise activities. A morning session on June 13th will focus on female lawyers and the challenges they face in legal practice, addressing topics such as overcoming gender bias and stereotypes. In the afternoon of the same day, there will be discussions on growing clientele, proper billing for legal services, and financial planning for lawyers.

The schedule also includes a legal clinic event in collaboration with the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency on June 14th. On June 15th, there will be a public lecture featuring renowned speaker Prof. Chidi Odinkalu, along with other notable guests. The Law Week will conclude with a Law Dinner on June 16th, followed by an after-party. Additionally, there will be several other engaging events throughout the week.

The NBA Ikeja Branch Law Week aims to provide an intellectually stimulating and enjoyable experience for all participating lawyers.
