Lai Mohammed says threat to abduct the President is a propaganda

As Nigeria celebrates its 62nd Independence Anniversary, the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has said that Nigerians need to embrace peace and unity more than ever before.

Making the call during the stage performance of the play “Echoes of the Drum by Ola Awaken, held at the Muson Centre, Lagos, the minister noted that the citizens of the country need unity now despite its diverse cultures and ethnic affiliations.

Represented by the Director General of the Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilization, Olubunmi Amao, the Minister of Information seized the opportunity to commend the efforts of executives and members of the National Troupe of Nigeria, organizers of the event for the roles they have been playing at promoting and projecting the rich culture of Nigeria through performances.

Present at the occasion were the commissioner of culture and tourism in Lagos, Uzamat Akinbile-Yussuf, and other dignitaries from the ministry in Nigeria.
