Lagos, Ogun, Three Other States To Get New CPs Ahead Of Elections

The postings were made in accordance with the IGP's policy of assigning officers to positions that suit their skills.

Twenty-One thousand police officers to monitor Osun governorship election

The Inspector General of Police(IGP), Usman Baba Alkali, has reassigned senior officers within the police force with Idowu Owohunwa a former principal staff officer to the IGP (PSO-IGP), and Frank Mba, a former spokesperson for the police appointed as the Commissioners of Lagos and Ogun States respectively.

The postings were made in accordance with the IGP’s policy of assigning officers to positions that suit their skills.

The IGP has also ordered the provisional postings of three other Commissioners of Police to various commands, pending approval from the Police Service Commission.

These include CP Adebola A. Hamzat, CP Suleiman A. Yusuf, and CP Faleye E.S. Olaleye postings to Adamawa, Taraba, and Ebonyi states respectively.

The IGP has asked the officers to ensure they follow his administration’s mission, vision, and policy when it comes to fighting crime, collaborating with the public, and maintaining safety.
