Lagos Court remand couple for publicly assaulting police officers

The Police in Anambra state have confirmed the killing of four military officers and a civilian as gunmen opened fire against their vehicle in Awka the capital of the state.

Although he refused to mention the number of casualties involved, the police public relations officer in the state of Ikechukwu Ikenga confirmed that the incident actually happened.

He added that officers have been deployed to the area to restore calm as they carry out the needed investigations.

Meanwhile, the governor of the state, Charles Soludo vowed to track the gunmen as he assured the citizens that the killers will pay for their insane killings.
