Former President Buhari Departs Abuja for Daura

Former President Mohammadu Buhari left Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, and headed to his hometown of Daura in Katsina State.

After participating in military formalities, which included lowering and hoisting new flags to signify the start of a new administration, Buhari departed the Eagles Square following the inauguration of Bola Tinubu as Nigeria’s 16th President.

Accompanied by his wife, Aisha, and his Aide-De-Camp (ADC), Yusuf Dodo, Buhari took his final presidential flight on a Nigeria Air Force aircraft from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja to Katsina State, where he intends to reside.
