The Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria (BOSAN) has officially announced the passing of one of its esteemed members, Mr. Jonathan Babatunde Majiyagbe, SAN, OFR.
BOSAN, through a press statement signed by its Secretary, Mr. Olumide Sofowora SAN, acknowledged Mr. Majiyagbe’s significant contributions to legal jurisprudence both nationally and internationally.
The organization expressed deep sorrow over his loss and offered prayers for the repose of his soul as well as the souls of all departed members.
Mr. J.B. Majiyagbe, SAN, born on July 10, 1934, in Lagos, Nigeria, had an illustrious career. He served as the Vice President of the Nigerian Bar Association from 1975 to 1977 and was a member of the National Executive Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association from 1975 to 1978.
He also held memberships in the International Bar Association and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Additionally, he served as a former member of the Body of Benchers, among other notable positions.
